That Is Racist lost a bunch of followers after posting this video yesterday.  

So I’m posting it again. 

I welcome your debate.

Here’s the problem with this video:

1. He makes the assumption that socialism is bad, as many people automatically do.  In reality, socialism and socialist programs aren’t trying to take over the world, they are trying to help the people.  Just because past examples of socialist and communist governments have been corrupt (due to those in power) does not automatically make all socialism evil.  

2. The “magical switch” he discusses between the two parties around the time of the civil rights movement was real.  In fact, the great republican party he speaks about for a large portion of the video is much more related to the current democratic party.

3. Using the assumption that all people on social welfare programs are black or that all blacks are on social welfare programs is racist in itself.

4. When people say Republicans are greedy, it is not because they want to take all of the taxpayers money.  In fact, it is because republican taxpayers do not want to give up their own money to the government.  While I’m sure no one agrees with all the ways the government uses tax money, certain programs such as welfare programs, help to keep people alive.

5. Saying that Democrats use the poor (I’m using the poor though he uses black people.  As I mentioned before black does not mean poor) for votes is like saying that republicans use conservative ideology to get conservatives to vote for them.  If a person believes in the ideals of a party, then they will vote for that party.  Why does the party have those ideals?  Because the people who make up the party (those who are giving it votes) have those ideals.
